Triple TOS Departure
TOS successfully managed the departure of three global ship deliveries in one week:
- Wednesday 22 July, the Rado (former Drado of URS Antwerp) set off on its maiden voyage from Terneuzen, Holland to Mohammedia, Morocco.
- Friday 24 July, the new build ASD-tugboat Medma of Damen Shipyards departed from Shanghai, China to Giaio Tauro, Italy under full TOS management.
- Saturday 25 July, the ASD-tugboat Svitzer Hawk left the port of Dubai, UAE with destination Puerto Armuelles, Panama.
A fourth TOS ship delivery is still on its way. The Smit Panther will arrive in Venice, Italy in mid August after a successful voyage from Haiphong, Vietnam. The Smit Panther is the first new build vessel of a new range of ASD-tugboats. With four ships on three continents TOS (Transport & Offshore Services) offers true global ship deliveries. “Our division is working around the clock because of the worldwide activities”, says Ronald van der Kolk (Manager Technical & Nautical Department). “Recently our department has expanded with two new colleagues. With these reinforcements we have a lot of faith in the future.”
