Damen First Dutch Certified Distributor of Parker
Damen Technical Agencies (DTA) became the first Dutch engineering sales company to be named Certified Distributor of Parker Hannifin within the technology of Hydraulics.
Recently representatives of Parker and DTA expressed their long-term commitment by signing the Certified Distributor Hydraulics agreement. “Our strategic partnership with Parker further enhances the customer focus we can provide to end-users of hydraulic equipment”, says Ton Damen, founder and owner of Damen Technical Agencies.
Parker recently altered their distribution strategy which now distinguishes three different types of distributors: Authorised, Certified and Premier. A Premier distributor represents the full product line, a Certified distributor more product lines or a complete technology, and an Authorised distributor represents a few product lines or acts as specialist of a single product line.
With DTA Parker contracted a distributor that fits very well within the new distribution strategy of Parker Hannifin. DTA has specific knowledge in the field of hydraulic motion and control and is a flexible organisation that is able to identify the needs of the end-user and act upon it. The long-term collaboration of Parker and DTA resulted in a strategic partnership, which has now been formally recognised by signing the distribution agreement. “DTA proves to be a valuable extension of our own organisation and is able to fulfil an essential role within specific market niches”, says Harrie Heeren, Sales Manager Distribution of Parker Hannifin Netherlands.
