Yellow & Finch Publishers Strengthens Management Team
Yellow & Finch Publishers is proud to announce the appointment of Charles van den Oosterkamp as CEO. As per 1 August, he leads Yellow & Finch Publishers’ growing team based in Vlissingen, the Netherlands. Co-founder Dennis Vinkoert remains Publisher and Executive Editor with oversight of the whole business.
“Charles brings considerable experience in the publishing industry and a solid management background,” Dennis noted. “As our publishing business develops, we are strongly committed to the maritime sector and convinced that the market has very good opportunities for the future.”
In 2013 Yellow & Finch invested in a complete new look and feel of its magazine portfolio, which has been very positively received by the market and has helped grow the international reputation of Offshore Industry, SuperYacht Industry, ShipBuilding Industry and the recently launched Ports & Shipping Industry. In addition, Yellow & Finch Publishers launched its Publishing & Promotions service this year, winning several important contracts including the official Europort 2013 exhibition catalogue.
Charles has an extensive background in publishing including technical B2B journals and a long-time stint at the Dutch news organisation PZC as the General Director and Publisher. With an expertise in creating new business, he oversaw the PZC increase in efficiency while cutting costs – something the entire publishing industry has faced in the last few years.
Of his new move, Charles says: “Yellow & Finch Publishers has very strong products to offer our clients in the international market. A strong media business is an important part of the whole industry. Our challenge is to develop in line with the market by identifying and capturing opportunities in partnership with our clients.”
In addition to his new role as CEO, Charles is also a member of Sepa Green Energy – an organisation dedicated to making sure the Netherlands is both responsible and transparent when it comes to using clean energy.
