MV Mai Lehmann at the Lindenau Yard


Lindenau_Mai_Lehmann_©NobiskrugAt the end of March the MV Mai Lehmann, a cargo ship of the shipping company Hans Lehmann in Lübeck, came to the Lindenau Yard for two weeks.

Besides a regular class docking several repairs were executed such as a sea wash damage on the bulwark as well as the hatchways. Furthermore extended grinding and painting works were done on the ship followed by several load tests which to be carried out.

The MV Mai Lehmann was built in 1999 and is one of nine additional owned and operated ships for the transport of several goods such as paper, fertilisers, steel as well as further construction materials and crude materials. The Lehmann Group furthermore operates four own terminals with a length of more than 2500m in the Lübeck Harbor as one of the biggest private harbor operator.
