Seacontractors boosts fleet with Damen 3209 Shoalbuster
Seacontractors recently signed up with Damen to construct another Damen Shoalbuster 3209.
The vessel is currently under construction at the Damen/Albwardy Yard in Sharjah, UAE. It is the first Shoalbuster in the existing fleet equipped with FiFi-1 fire fighting and she is expected to be delivered on the 25th of November 2014 in Dubai. The vessel will be named Sea India and is the ninth Shoalbuster in the fleet of Seacontractors.
Seacontractors has already ordered two Damen Stan Tugs with 70t bollard pull, making the Netherlands-based maritime services provider the launching customer for the new STu 3011 design. Seacontractors has specific extensive customisations that increase the multifunctional design’s capacity for anchor handling and fire fighting duties. Both the vessels are expected to be delivered around April/May in Vietnam.
