Kotug Smit Towage Celebrates European Harbour Towage Activities
Kotug Smit Towage celebrated the start of its harbour towage activities in eleven European ports. About 600 clients, stakeholders and employees joined the launch ceremony in the Cruise Terminal Rotterdam.
After the welcome address, both shareholders Boskalis and Kotug officially launched Kotug Smit Towage. The tugs Smit Hudson and SD Rebel arrived to demonstrate their new company colours and were welcomed by a FiFi-show by the Rotterdam Port Authorities’ vessel RPA-10.
Kotug Smit Towage, a joint venture between Kotug International B.V. and Royal Boskalis Westminster N.V., was established on April, 7th 2016 to provide the European markets with customised towage services. The joint operation allows the company to meet the increasing demands of their clients in order to supply them with an even higher level of efficiency and port call optimisation. With a fleet of 65 tugboats Kotug Smit Towage provides customised and safe towage services to their clients in 11 ports in Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands and The United Kingdom.
