Mitsui OSK Lines to Take 5% Stake in Seajacks
Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL) is willing to acquire a 5% share in Seajacks from Marubeni Corporation. With Seajacks’ five jack-up vessels operating in the offshore wind market, MOL said this is a new offshore business for the company and the first step to move into the renewable energy sector through involvement in installation of offshore wind power generation systems, which is expanding in Europe and other areas around the world.
