Redefining Boundaries

Vryhof Stevshark RexNo anchor can provide the holding power of the Vryhof StevsharkRex anchor. The application of drag embedment anchors has been expanded to the most remote and challenging territories on earth. Strong soils are no longer prohibitive, opening up the economic possibility for operators to develop new energy resources in a much larger area globally.

Depending on the location, the holding power of the StevsharkRex has proved to be 22% to 47% higher than the previous Stevshark version. The application boundaries of drag embedment anchors can now be expanded to the most remote and challenging territories on earth. Strong soils, such as harsh clays, cemented carbonate and calcarenite rocks, no longer represent an obstacle.

With the StevsharkRex design, Vryhof chose to take the current Stevshark as a departure point. The set of design parameters was based on this anchor’s inherent strong points, but was also to include improvements that became accessible due to better understanding of anchor design and Stevshark’s behaviour over the last decade.
