J-tube Seals for Key North Sea Oil & Gas Project
Tekmar Energy has recently completed the successful delivery of j-tube seals and bend restrictors for the Oseberg Vestflanken 2 project. Oseberg Vestflanken 2 is located approximately 8km north-west of Oseberg field centre and includes Alpha, Gamma and Kappa oil and gas structures. Working to an aggressive lead time, Tekmar successfully designed, manufactured, tested and delivered all products in time for the client’s planned installation date.
Charlie Sullivan, Head of Subsea Sales & Strategy at Tekmar, says, “This project was our first opportunity to work with this new customer and we were very pleased to be able to successfully deliver on time and to specification. Additionally, we were able to utilise our new load test rig which has recently been installed at our Newton Aycliffe facility. This equipment enables us to test to much higher loads in house than previously and increases our capability for future projects.”
2017 has been a busy year so far for Tekmar as the company continues to secure new contracts in the offshore wind industry including East Anglia ONE, Blyth Offshore and Arkona to name a few, whilst also experiencing significant growth in the oil & gas sector, particularly in the North Sea and the Middle East.
