New Service Takes off at Zeeland Airport
International energy logistics provider Peterson, has announced plans to extend its portfolio at Zeeland Airport by developing a passenger terminal to service customers in the renewables industry in the region.
Zeeland Airport is located in the province of Zeeland near the village of Arnemuiden in the Netherlands and a mere 3.5km from the port of Vlissingen. Peterson’s new passenger terminal at the site will be just a fifteen minutes flight to the Borssele Windfarms. Peterson already provides a complete aviation service for personnel that covers the Dutch sector of the North Sea at Den Helder Airport, including the revolutionary helicopter sharing concept that has taken off in the forward-thinking country.
Jan Willem Cornelissen, Business Manager Aviation at Peterson comments: “We are very excited to be working at Zeeland Airport together with our local office in the province of Zeeland to better service the renewable industry. The airport is ideally located and combined with our aviation expertise and innovations we are confident this site will become the most efficient gateway to Borsele Windfarms I, II, III, IV and V.”
Martin Dekker, Peterson’s Commercial Manager in the Zeeland area says: “Peterson has vast experience in servicing the renewables market with many clients in the Netherlands, so we understand the demands of the market. Our passenger terminal will ensure we can effectively manage personnel and flights to reduce travel time and costs for our clients. Furthermore, we can offer fully integrated logistics support over sea and land as well.”

Zeeland Airport is currently used for small fixed wing aircrafts and para-jumping but is under-going a transformation to modernise the facilities. The airport is currently in the middle of revamping the site with new buildings and upgrading the runway.
