Yanmar Displays Full Marine Range at Europort 2017

Yanmar's 6AYEM Common RailYanmar Europe will be promoting its complete commercial marine range at Europort 2017. Engines on display will include the 6AYM mechanical engine, built for durability and low cost of ownership, and the electronically controlled 6AYEM, which adds a common-rail fuel system for even higher power ratings while retaining fuel economy and low emissions. Additionally, Yanmar will exhibit the 6CXBM and 6LY440 from its higher-rated light-duty high-speed engine range. The latter will be combined with a new ZF180 transmission.

Yanmar’s medium-speed range includes the EY33 Miller cycle series, and for ultra-low emission applications, the dual fuel 6EY26DF. The 6EY26DF can switch between LNG and diesel fuels under full engine loads, while air-fuel ratios are automatically adjusted for varying load conditions and methane concentrations.

The new KM200/300BL gearbox is designed for use with the 6AYM engine, and is available in various configurations and reduction ratios.

Finally, Yanmar will feature the new D-Torque 50hp diesel outboard, developed in partnership with Neander Motors of Germany. This features a dual counter-rotating crankshaft, cancelling out the vibrations normally experienced with a twin-cylinder diesel. The D-Torque is SOLAS-certified, and delivers 111Nm of torque at 2,500 rpm.
