BIO-SEA B-Range Passes All USCG-Type Approval Tests
BIO-SEA’s B range has successfully passed all tests dedicated to USCG Type approval certification with great performances. The land-based tests have been performed at DHI DK and NIVA Laboratories in fresh, brackish and marine waters. The BIO-SEA range will be approved with NO Holding Time (T0). The shipboard tests have been performed on 2 CMA CGM container vessels (700m3/h and 1400m3/h), and the ballast water treatment system has been used routinely during ships operations, trading all over the world during a 2-year period.
The BIO-SEA USCG Type Approval will now enter in its administrative stage with DNV-GL as IL. The USCG official document is expected in the first part of 2018. The BIO-SEA systems are USCG ready. With one BIO-SEA system, ship owners will be able to operate under IMO or US mode.
