From Rabbit to Winged Stallion

pegasus

Following an extensive ten-month refit, Feadship De Vries Makkum has re-launched Pegasus. Built in 1995 by Koninklijke De Vries Scheepsbouw in Aalsmeer as White Rabbit, she was bought by a new Greek owner in 2008 who decided to bring the yacht ‘home’ for a major refit and lengthening. The project included an extension of almost 3 m to 52.25 m and a wide range of other detailed exterior and interior alterations. The result is a luxury motor yacht that looks, feels and operates on a par with the very finest brand-new yachts delivered in 2009. The owner acquired the vessel in early 2008 after consulting the technical expertise of the Feadship Refit Team. Leveraging their extensive knowledge of the original design they were able to quickly assess the feasibility of an extension of all decks. The primary goal was to increase the possibilities for exterior lounging and entertainment, as well as creating a spacious and fully equipped ‘beach club’ at sea level.
