Australian Base For CEproof

ceproof_webLeading CE marking provider CEproof is delighted to announce the opening of its Australian headquarters in the heart of Queensland’s Gold Coast, in the Gold Coast City Marina at Coomera. The office, founded to help the company support a growing client base in the region, will be headed by directors, Chris Hutchings and Nick Bentley. CEproof QLD Pty Ltd will offer a complete suite of services, spanning every stage of the CE marking process and ensuring clients comply with EU Recreational Craft Directive (RCD) and the Marine Equipment Directive (MED).

CEproof’s Managing Director, Alasdair Reay, commented on the announcement: “Everyone at CEproof is delighted to be raising a flag above an office in Queensland at last. Australia is obviously an important area for us, both now and in the future. The search for the right staff and location has taken a while, but in the end was very fruitful. The experience and professionalism of Chris and Nick is just what Australian boat builders need, and regulatory compliance is sure to be an easier process in the region from now on. We predict steady growth from our new Australian and New Zealand offices, with this area hopefully becoming one of our busiest in the future.”

Founded in 1998, CEproof has grown to become a leading provider of comprehensive and informed services, specifically designed for the EU Recreational Craft Directive (RCD). The company now oversees the CE marking of a wide range of products across the market, from pressure equipment to electronics, working for small independent firms and individuals right through to some of the world’s largest multinationals.
