My Petra on Display

Motor yacht My Petra of Heesen Yachts has been successfully delivered to her owners in Malta, following a christening that took place at the shipyard in Oss Harbour, the Netherlands, on Sunday 14 June. She will be on display at the Festival de la Plaisance in Cannes, from 9 to 14 September, Jetée Albert Edouard Sud. My Petra is the sixth in Heesen’s semi-displacement, all-aluminium, 4400 Class, which, alongside the 3700 Class, represents one of the most popular designs by Heesen Yachts in collaboration with Frank Laupman of Omega Architects. Frank Laupman created both the exterior styling – with its sleek and elegant lines – and the lavish interior of this fast motor yacht, which can reach a maximum speed of 25 knots thanks to its twin MTU 16BV 4000 M90 diesels, each delivering up to 2,720kW. Entering the accommodation from the aft deck, My Petra’s guests are welcomed into a cosy semi-circular conversation area, which leads forward into a more formal saloon, where three settees and two leather armchairs are arranged around a rectangular coffee table. A low cabinet divides the saloon from the dining area, further forward. The galley is located portside, and communicates with the dining area through a sliding door. Forward, on the starboard side, the owner’s office leads on into the owner’s suite, which features a full-beam bedroom with an adjoining his-and-hers bathroom that offers both a shower and bath.
