Secure Waters At FLIBS Captains Briefing
Corey Ranslem, Chief Executive Officer of Secure Waters, has been invited to speak at the Ft Lauderdale Mariners Club Seminars next week and moderate this year’s Captains Briefing at the fiftieth annual Ft Lauderdale International Boat Show. Secure Waters advocates a much different approach when it comes to dealing with international piracy and security.
“Naval assets and private armed ship riders have had a minimal effect on stemming pirate attacks in the Gulf of Aden and cannot protect ships worldwide. As piracy continues to spread to other parts of the world cruise lines, private yachts, and shipping companies must institute cost effective measures that will address their potential threats worldwide. The focus needs to center on crew training, advanced planning, and early detection,” commented Corey D. Ranslem, chief executive officer of Secure Waters LLC, a North Miami Beach-based maritime security company.
