BigLift Appoints China Agent


signing_bigliftBigLift Shipping have announced, that they have appointed Scan-Trans Beijing as commercial representative for the People’s Republic of China. Acknowledging the growing importance and potential of the Chinese market with regard to project cargoes and heavy lifts, they wish to enhance their commercial representation in China.

Scan-Trans Beijing is well known in this market for their knowledge and experience. BigLift and Scan-Trans have confidence that they can fruitfully work together, to their mutual benefit and, most importantly, to the benefit of the clients who can be assured of quality, safety and reliability for the carriage of their precious cargoes.

biglift_web-10-11-09-1_0045BigLift currently operate a fleet of nine heavy lift vessels, with a lifting capacity of 500 to 1400 t. In 2010-2011 seven newbuilding vessels will be added to the fleet. Five vessels vessels with two 400t cranes and one 120t crane and a combined lifting capacity of 800 t  are under construction at the Ouhua yard in China (delivery second half 2010). Two vessels with two 900 mt cranes – total lifting capacity of 1800 mt – are built at Hazira, India (delivery early 2011).
