New Managing Director Stone Marine Propulsion
Stone Marine Propulsion have announced the appointment of Lyn Bodger to the position of Managing Director, following the recent retirement of Dr. Graham Patience. Mr Bodger joined Stone Manganese Marine, as the company was then known, from Brookes Bell where he was a surveyor, in 1979, having previously graduated from Plymouth and serving eight years at sea.
His first position at Stone Marine was that of a designer but he soon became a Project Engineer, then Technical Manager and was appointed Technical Director in 2006. Commenting on his new role Lyn Bodger said: “Stone Marine Propulsion is a major company in the design and supply of large marine propellers. As a company we will continue to develop our technical capabilities and marketing strengths in all aspects of ship propulsion, paying immediate attention to our economy propellers. I am delighted that as Managing Director I shall be fully involved with every aspect of this work.”
