Europort Romania Organises Visit To Daewoo Shipyard


daewoo_mangEuroport Romania (20 – 22 April 2010, Constanta, Romania), by word of organisers Ahoy Rotterdam, has announced an official visit to the  Daewoo Mangalia Shipyard by invitation of president Vasile Iorga is, among other things, now on the agenda.   The shipyard is a joint venture of Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering in Korea and the “2 Mai” Mangalia Shipyard of Romania.  The visit is set for Monday 19 April.

The yard builds ships up to 200,000 DWT, mostly bulk carriers for Tsakos Shipping Greece, 5,560 – 5,905TEU container ships for Hamburg Süd Germany and 40,000 – 60,000DWT crude oil tankers and, because of this, is one of the leading yards in the country. After the visit to the yard the participants of Europort Romania will meet the management and the buyers from Daewoo during a barbecue that is part of the social program of the event.

Europort Romania is organised by Ahoy Rotterdam in cooperation with ANCONAV, the Romanian Chamber of Commerce and the Embassy of the Netherlands in Bucharest. Participants can profit from complete participation packages including travel, hotel stay, transportation of exhibition materials, stand building and participation in social network meetings. At the moment some locations are still available.
