Schottel Offers Online Calculation Tool
Schottel eases propeller configuration work by means of its online HydrA design software. A customer can specify the propulsion system, number of propulsion units, input speed, input power, blade area ratio, propeller diameter, ship speed, wake fraction and thrust deduction fraction. A calculator then determines figures for the power and propeller data such as thrust, torque, pitch ratio or propeller load.
The procedure is extremely simple and independent of the user’s operating system: the customer applies for access rights via the company’s website. As soon as access rights are granted, the customer can log on. Once the key data have been calculated, the user has the option of sending the form to the Schottel Sales team, who will then get in touch with the customer.
