Raymarine For Discovery Yachts
UK-based Discovery Yachts has chosen Raymarine to be fitted as standard on its Discovery 67 and Discovery 50 catamaran. Discovery Yachts Managing Director Nigel Stuart says the decision was based on the reliability of the products and the advantages of a single, integrated system that can be adapted to meet individual requirements.
A typical Discovery 55 catamaran would feature an integrated system based on an E series multi- function display, instruments, radar, autopilot, AIS and communications system; with optional extras including onboard cameras and the LifeTag man overboard system. While Discovery Yachts are frequently used for cruising, the options to link Raymarine’s RayTech Navigational software through a on-board or portable PC, enables boat owners to integrate route planning, weather data and boat performance statistics into the electronics system.
One of the most recent Discovery customers to set off on a blue water cruise with his Raymarine equipment on board is the company Chairman John Charnley, who with his wife Caroline, is heading to the USA and Caribbean before sailing to Australia and New Zealand later this year.
