Mr Pettavino: “I thank you all for this unique experience. It has been a real privilege and honour to build this event into the world premier yacht show that it has become. It was also a great responsibility, as it is associated with very high expectations. ”
He continues: “Some of you may know of my dedication to help research on Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy through the Association Monégasque contre les Myopathies. The exciting and promising times of therapeutic trials have arrived. The cure is not ready yet, but my energy, my attention, my focus are more than ever required to source funds, gather and finance Scientists, Researchers, Clinicians, Chemists, etc. Through the support of HSH Prince Albert II, the Monaco Yacht Show and the organisation of Only Watch we have been able to raise 2 million Euros every two years. We will continue to do so in the future together with Informa and the MYS Team who will donate 50% of the entrance fees.”
Informa owns the Monaco Yacht Show together with 8,000 other events and employs 8,000 people worldwide. As a flagship event of this group, the MYS team works closely with Peter Rigby, CEO of Informa.

The 20th edition of the Monaco Yacht Show sold out months ago. With the help of a dedicated team of professionals, a loyal customer base, the majestic setting that the Principality of Monaco represents and the ongoing support of HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco, the Monaco Yacht Show continues to be the market leader.
