Wake Up Call

megagloss_hg_Last Wednesday Jotun presented their new Megagloss topcoat to SuperYacht Industry, on sailing yacht Canica, moored in Palma de Mallorca, Marina Port de Mallorca. Proof that this new product exceeds market expectations is demonstrated by the recent painting of this yacht. Its New Megagloss topcoat was applied by Rolling Stock, Palma de Mallorca’s expert application company.

Jotun’s new Megagloss topcoat is the result of almost four years development by its Norwegian laboratory in cooperation with the Jotun yachting HQ in Barcelona. After extensive testing, including application tests and recommendations by applicators such as Rolling Stock, and further tweaking to achieve the desired standards, Jotun feels confident that this product offers the market a set of characteristics that cannot be found anywhere else, as it is for instance application friendly, offers a high resistance to UV light and has extremely high gloss levels. In addition, there is a matt version and brush and roll quality version.

The company expects the launch to provoke a positive market reaction and generate great interest amongst superyacht membership. “New Megagloss is our ‘wake-up call’ to the industry,” says Jotun “where an alternative to the current market monopoly by a proven world player is sure to be welcomed.”
