Innovatively Applied Traditional Design
The SL100 New, Mentxu, is the newest edition to yachtbuilder’s Sanlorenzo fleet. The Ameglia shipyard in La Spezia concentrated on an great number of innovations. After a broad and deep analysis of the concept, the Design Department of the shipyard, in cooperation with several naval architects and designers, completed the project in respect of the Sanlorenzo design tradition.
One of Sanlorenzo’s main goals is the conservation and the stability yacht design lines, typical for the fleet. The external lines are updated to present-day requirements with delicate, but substantial touches on for instance the transom and the fly bridge. The most significant element on the SL 100 New is the much larger windows than on the previous SL 100 model. The motor yacht is available with or without hard top. Its outline, its shape, its poles, and the shading system of the area are completely newly designed. An original shower system is mounted on the bathing platform, and is composed by a pivoting arm which is hidden when not in use. SL 100 New is powered by two MTUs 16V2000M93 with 1,790kW (2,435 HP) that assure a maximum speed of 29 knots and cruising speed of 25 knots.
