One Week, Two Contracts

heesen_new_yachtHeesen Yachts signed two contracts this week. One for a 50m fully custom semi-displacement motor yacht and another for a 47m full displacement motor yacht. These are the third and the fourth contracts to be signed at Heesen since the beginning of 2010. Their  order book now consists of fourteen yachts currently in construction, which will be delivered to their Owners by the end of 2013. Image courtesy of Heesen Yachts.

The Y/N 16250, 50m  has been signed thanks to a fruitful collaboration with the Monaco based brokerage house YCO. The YCO broker representing the Buyer commented: “Y/N 16250 is a unique project, for an owner who is an experienced sailor who desires to be deeply involved in the design and conception process of his new vessel.” The exterior has a clean profile whose straight lines give the yacht an aggressive and muscular look. Peculiarities of the exterior styling are the double-curved convex exterior glass, a convex curved freeboard and a smooth, unbroken outer “shell”.

The Y/N 15147 belongs to the Heesen’s 47-metre long range displacement vessel family, which now has seven sister-ships. Two of these have been recognised at successive World Superyacht Awards in 2009 and 2010 as the Best Displacement Motor Yachts below 500GT. The level of customization possible on this series (including structural changes to the superstructure) allows owners to create their Own unique yacht based on a proven hull design.
