Porsche Luxury Brand Grows


porsche_smallThe Porsche Design Group feels confident about the forthcoming 2009/10 financial year end. The company will continue its strategy of dynamic growth. The Group reports that business has been good for the Porsche Design luxury brand and there are now 105 Porsche Design Stores and Shops worldwide, an increase of 25% over the previous year and 139% over the last three years.

Furthermore, sales in the franchise business are up by more than 43% over the previous year (an increase of 320% on 2006/07) and by around 12 per cent in its own retail business. “The fact that our luxury brand, in particular, is being so well received in the market gives us confidence,” says Dr. Juergen Gessler, Chairman of the Porsche Design Group. He further comments that the new outlets under the Porsche Design brand, such as those in Miami (USA), New Delhi (India), Hong Kong (China) and Riyadh (Saudi Arabia), are already doing well.

During the 2009/10 financial year the company was given a total of six desig awards. The P´8810 reading tool, the P´1700 shoe collection and the P’9522 mobile phone, all Porsche Design products, were among them, each receiving the ‘iF Product Design Award’. The flyback chronograph P´6920 Rattrapante Limited Edition was awarded the ‘red dot’ seal, for high quality in design.
