Karpaz Marina Development
Sea-Alliance Group (SAG), the international maritime business that is managing the development of Karpaz Gate Marina, a luxury yacht marina to open in Northern Cyprus, has appointed Ben Grigg to develop Sea Alliance Group’s business development and marina division. He will be working on all aspects of the new Karpaz Gate Marina development, which is due to open on schedule in May 2011.
Ben Grigg will be involved in recruitment; health and safety; software installation; marketing and sales, as well as developing its marine development division and assisting in the growth of the other specialist areas, which include providing leading services in yacht charters, sales and purchase, new construction and yacht management. Coming on board with over 25 years of experience in the leisure marine industry, Ben has carried sales and marketing director roles at Lewmar and Camper & Nicholson Marinas and has been involved with a number of projects for leading marine brands.
Once complete, Karpaz Gate Marina will open up the stunning undiscovered Karpaz peninsula and provide repair and refit facilities. With facilities designed to accommodate boats up to 55m in length, it will offer berths for 300 yachts and 16 of these will be for superyachts. Vessels based at or visiting the marina will have access to a 18,000m² dry dock for refit and repair, to aid with both maintenance and storage, and luxurious land-based facilities including a chandlery, restaurant, bar, casino and a seven star hotel.
