Lightweight Gangway
The Besenzoni Carbonium Gangway is the result of a study on the use of carbon in the nautical sector. This study demonstrated to the company that the use of this non-metal structure achieves highest values of mechanical resistance, as well as an exceptional lightness for high-end components. Using carbon fibres allows to have light and rigid, resistant components, which are aesthetically attractive.
Carbon fibre is paired with an alveolar structure to guarantee good mechanical compression performance. It also adds a noticeable lightness to the gangway with a length of 2,20 m. The alveolar structure is formed by hexagonal cells made of a mixture of Aramide, impregnated with epoxy resin. Besenzoni guarantees a compression resistance of over 50 kg/cm². The Carbonium gangway is presented with manual handling and is suitable for different types of pleasure boats thanks to a special bolt. The footboard walkway reaches a walking width of 26 cm and a maximum width of 47 cm at its tip. It features an anti -slip adhesive.
