Allweiler Expands Contracts With Leading Global Offshore Operators


allweiler1The Norwegian division of Allweiler, a specialist provider of a comprehensive range of screw, centrifugal and progressing cavity pumps to the merchant marine and offshore industries, announced a series of cargo and oil recovery system deliveries, to major offshore operators including REM Offshore, Solstad Offshore, Simon Møkster, San Miquel and Bourbon. Valued at more than NOK 20 million, the total contracts comprise advanced design and comprehensive pump packages. 

This incorpartes ranging from engineering to approved design documents for sophisticated offshore cargo handling and oil recovery systems. According Geir Olimb, director of Sales for Allweiler AS in Norway, global operators require professional partners to enhance their competitiveness in the robust offshore-shipping market. Allweiler has also confirmed large orders for cargo handling systems with STX Offshore Norway for five PSVs, ordered by Simon Møkster, REM and Solstad. The vessels are built to STX PSV design and recognized for good sea-keeping performance, low fuel consumption and environmentally friendly operations. Allweiler’s delivery includes all technical documentation, complete pump package, engineering and technical drawings.

Allweiler is further partnering with Brazil’s Alianca Shipyard for the supply of four hybrid cargo and oil recovery systems to a series of PSVs ordered by national shipowner San Miguel. San Miguel is a major provider of vessels and services to Brazil’s offshore industry.

The contracts comprise the delivery of design, engineering and commissioning of main pump equipment. The total order requires Allweiler pumps to accommodate a variety of pumping activities including ballast, tank washing/stripping/slop discharge, and chemical dozing pumps.
