Barcelona Marina Progress

barcelonaBarcelona Vilanova Grand Marina reaches 12.5 million euros in berth sales. The moorings sold represent approximately 50% of the water surface for sale and occupancy during its second winter season has exceeded expectations. The project of a full service marina for superyachts is making good progress with the opening of the technical area’s first phase.

The general manager of the marina, Ignacio Erroz, stated: “We are very satisfied with the project’s good progress and the acceptance gained within the industry.”

The construction of the technical area, which will add services of repair & refit to the current offer of moorings, is making good progress. The 8,000 square metre first phase has been completed and has initiated its activity, thanks to a 200 ton Travelift with cutting-edge technology built by the Italian company Cimolai S.P.A. A workshop area will start operating shortly. The marina will manage the technical area, which will have the capacity to hoist yachts up to 200 t in weight and will offer paint works and repairs. The second phase of the shipyard envisages the construction of two painting sheds and a 300 m waiting dock, as well as an esplanade with an 800 t Travelift.
