Biesheuvel Techniek Takes Over Activities Geul Techniek

geul-techniek_webBiesheuvel Techniek, distributor of mechanical MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul) material, has taken over the activities of bankrupt Geul Techniek Spijkenisse BV, Geul Techniek Vlaardingen BV and Nordic Benelux BV – specialist suppliers of a wide range of pipes, valves, fitting, seals, fasteners, gaskets, instrumentation and other industrial material in the Netherlands’ Rotterdam area for over 95 years.

Meino Noordenbos, General Manager of Biesheuvel Techniek: “This takeover is a logical next step for our growth strategy. Due to the resemblance with our current activities, we see a lot of potential for synergy and growth. We are looking forward in the cooperation with Geul Techniek and to supply  both ourcustomers in this region.” By adding the activities of Geul Techniek, who’s clientele consists of the petrochemical, offshore, shipbuilding, food, electricity and other industries, Biesheuvel Techniek aims at creating a stronger position in the Netherlands and particularly in the Rotterdam area and the Botlek – additionally increasing its product knowledge of pipes, valves and fittings in the Netherlands.

The trustee Ralf van der Pas of De Bok Roijers Gasseling Advocaten stated that, together with Peter de Vries of Business Asset Management, a thorough potential buyer selection was drawn up. Together with Rabobank Rotterdam, the Biesheuvel Groep BV was selected to be the best choice because of its international approach, width of the MRO product portfolio and the highest chance of a maximum staff integration.
