New Subsea IMR Vessel


eidesvik-1Subsea 7 and Eidesvik Offshore ASA have entered into a contract for 8 years for a new subsea IMR vessel. Total contract value is exceeding NOK 1 billion.  As a result of this Eidesvik Offshore has entered into a contract with Ulstein Verft AS for building one Subsea IMR vessel with X-BOW design (SX148). The contract value is exceeding NOK 800 million. The delivery of the vessel is in the fourth quarter of 2012.


With this major contract for a new Subsea IMR vessel, Eidesvik Offshore ASA now have three vessels on long term contracts with Subsea 7. As a result of the contract with Subsea 7,  Eidesvik Offshore has entered into a shipbuilding contract with Ulstein Verft AS for the building of a Subsea IMR vessel with X-BOW design. The length overall is approximately 106 m and there is accommodation facilities for 90 person in total.

With this newbuilding we have contracted three vessels to Subsea 7, and our image as an international industrial supplier to the increasing subsea market has been confirmed”, says CEO Jan Fredrik Meling.
