The contract price for the new building is in excess of NOK 300 million.

Sartor Offshore aims to be among the leaders in the MRV and PSV segment and has an ambitious program to renew the fleet over the next few years. Sartor Offshore currently operates a total of 24 offshore vessels and has over 600 employees. The headquarters of company located in Sotra and they also have a separate operating company in Aberdeen.
“We expect that activity will pick up, and the need for this type of vessels will increase in future years. This, together with a need for renewal of both our own fleet and the PSV fleet generally means that this is a correct decision. The vessel has the highest environmental class, NOFO 2009 and fits into our strategy of increasing our share of PSVs. We are also pleased to be able to build in Norway, which again shows that the yards here are competitive, especially in design and quality but also on price”, said Roy Wareberg, CEO of Sartor Offshore AS.

Adjusted Design
The Havyard 832 L is a development of the previously designed and delivered Havyard 832. Experience from previous designs and feedback from the shipyard and shipping company makes Havyard 832 L an even more market-adjusted and building friendly design. The good capabilities from the previous ships are being continued and further developed in terms of economy, large, flexible capacity to carry a lot of load types, good comfort for the crew and to reduce the impact on the environment (Clean Design, optimized hull lines, diesel-electric propulsion, catalysts, etc.). Havyard 832 L is a large PSV well equipped to provide services to most types of service and supply contracts to the offshore oil industry. In addition to the large, flexible cargo capacity, the ship, among other things, is equipped for oil spill response (NOFO 2009).
Sought After
“It is very gratifying that Sartor Offshore selects Havyard as designer and builder when they are expanding their fleet of platform supply vessels. We depend on demanding customers to develop and it is great for us to get ideas from new customers in addition to the good we already have. It is of course also very valuable to secure the employment of our yard in Leirvik so that we have continuity to continue to develop the expertise and facilities there. Havyard 832 has been success for Havyard and we see that the development work we have put into this design pays off. We have succeeded in developing a modern, environmentally friendly and competitive PSV which is sought after in the market of both ship owners and charterers”, says CEO Geir Johan Bakke in a comment.
