Facilities Expansion
Completions and sand control specialist Darcy has nearly trebled its operational space in a relocation move designed to support the company’s growth strategy. It has transferred to a new 929.03 square m office and purpose designed workshop facility on Kintore Business Park in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, as part of a wider development plan that is expected to see its existing workforce double in number to more than twenty in 2011.
Darcy was established in 2009 with its groundbreaking Critical Matrix Management technology as the centrepiece of its market offering, and is already working on specific client projects with a view to introducing its first systems by the spring of this year. Chief executive Steve Bruce, who heads up a growing Darcy management team, says: “The move to these much larger premises reflects the strength of interest in our technology from the global industry, this new facility provides us with the necessary infrastructure to meet our growing assembly, testing and logistical requirements.”
He continious: “Since the Critical Matrix Management system was formally launched in the latter part of 2010 we have been fielding inquiries and building relationships with clients around the world who recognise it can help them overcome the most acute sand management challenges and optimise production. We are forecasting our requirements to grow even further by the end of 2011 as we enter this new phase of development which will see our system increasingly implemented in projects in key international provinces. This new facility will ensure that we are able to meet our future operational challenges.”
