Industry in the Picture

rob-grassickThe latest developments in downhole visualisation and camera technology will be discussed at a lunch and learn session organised by leading oil and gas industry body the Intervention & Coiled Tubing Association (ICoTA) European Chapter, in Aberdeen on Tuesday, March 15. The event, which will be held at the Marcliffe Hotel, will provide an update on the current technologies available offering visualisation.

Also, there will be  a lunch and a short workshop to identify the oil and gas industry’s future needs, potential applications and technology requirements. Presentations will be given by EV Offshore, Expro and Seawell.
The event will run from 10.30am to 2.30pm. ICoTA Europe chairman Rob Grassick said: “We are expecting a healthy turn out for this event, which is open to non ICoTA members as well as members, because downhole visualisation and camera technology is one of the industry’s hot topics at the moment.  Advancements in this field mean we can see and interpret much more now than we could ever do in the past, leading to more accurate identification and diagnosis of issues in the well. However, there are areas for development and we will be interested to hear how these will be tackled.  “I would expect anyone with an interest in well integrity would want to make themselves aware of what technologies are currently on the market and what we can expect to see in future, and I think this event will be a good place to start.”
