Vilanova Grand Marina – Barcelona‘s technical area is now fully operational. The first phase of the technical area occupies an area of over 8,000 m² and has a 200t travel hoist built by Cimolai Technology. Besides dry-docking, paint works, repair and refit services, the new shipyard will launch a promotional boat storage campaign in September, for the next winter season for all users of the marina and the Catalan coast in general.
Once completed, the technical area of Vilanova Grand Marina will occupy a total surface of 30,000 m² and will feature two painting sheds, a 300m waiting dock and an 800t travel hoist, which will allow all different types of repair and refit projects to be carried out.
Array of Services
The location offers a comprehensive service s range of dry docking and final preparation of yachts, from a simple inspection, hull cleaning and antifouling application to a complete refit. The first phase of the technical area, which has been operational since the beginning of this year, is now working at full capacity and has already exceeded the company’s expectations.
The new workshop area, currently under construction, will be operational at the end of June on renting bases. Theses workshops will be used to carry out all the usual activities of a shipyard such as mechanic repairs, carpentry, paint works, etc. Within the next few weeks, the marina expects to sign agreements with widely experienced professionals in order to increase the array of services offered, always ensuring an excellent value for money.
