Aker Solutions Establishs New Company
Aker Solutions is strengthening its capacity in the solids control and drilling waste management services market by establishing a new entity, which aims to offer a full range of services to the global onshore and offshore drilling market. The company, named STEP Oiltools, is a joint-venture between Aker Solutions’ wholly-owned subsidiary, STEP Offshore, and Chris Pianca. Mr Pianca brings over forty years of experience in the drilling waste management business.
Also, he has gathered a management team with extensive experience in all aspects of the business.
Initial Focus
The initial focus will be on the representation of the Derrick Equipment Company in Russia, the Caspian and West Africa. This includes the complete range of solids control equipment, screen surfaces and spare parts. Secondly, operations will begin in Russia, the Caspian, Asia and the Middle East as a quality service and leasing company primarily of solids control equipment and filtration products.
Range Vision
The long range vision for the company is to offer a fully integrated package, which will include the full range of solids control, drilling waste management and filtration services supported by a first class service organisation throughout the world.
