Performance And Safety Of Well Intervention At ICoTA
Improving the performance and safety of well intervention will be the focus of a lunch and learn session organised by leading oil and gas industry body the Intervention & Coiled Tubing Association (ICoTA) in Aberdeen on Tuesday, 20 September from 11.45 am to 1.45 pm. The event at the Marcliffe at Pitfodels Hotel, is the latest in a series of popular lunch and learn sessions run by ICoTA this year in the run up to the SPE ICoTA 17th European Well Intervention conference.
Peak Well Systems‘ global sales director, Mark Nicol and Paul Burnett, technical sales manager, will discuss the company’s Peak SIM System, which consists of several different flow control tools to improve slickline operations. The pair will give an overview of the system, in addition to the benefits, differentiators, and variations it brings to oil and gas operations.
Rob Grassick (picture), the ICoTA Europe chairman, said: “Well intervention is becoming an increasingly important consideration, particularly in the aging reserves of the UK Continental Shelf. Innovative technologies such as the SIM System offer significant safety benefits for operators, while reducing the complexity of well intervention and improving overall efficiency.”
