BV Certifies Matador 3 Sheerleg Upgrade
On Thursday, 6 October, under the watchful eye of Rogier Rust of Bureau Veritas, the floating sheerleg Matador 3 of Bonn & Mees Drijvende Bokken BV was successfully upgraded from 1,500 to 1,800 t. During the test lifts in Waalhaven she lifted 1,980 t in the A frame and 990 t in the jib. This means that the Matador 3 from now on is certified for 1,800 t (up to 40 m height). With 120 years of experience, Bonn & Mees Drijvende Bokken BV is the oldest company still active in the floating sheerleg sector in Rotterdam.
