Heesen Yachts Sells Project Ventura

heesen_venturaYN 16050 is the fourth contract signedby the yad in 2011. By acquiring a yacht which is already under construction, the owner receives all the advantages of a newbuild, ready for delivery in 2013. Heesen currently has twelve vessels in commission, with three on speculation: deliveries run into 2015. With 499GT and a top speed of 23 knots Ventura is among the world’s fastest semi-displacement 50m superyachts.

Her clean lines were designed by Frank Laupman from Omega Architects. In consultation with Van Oossanen Associates, Heesen’s in-house naval architects created an efficient hard-chine hull. Combined with the shipyard’s weight reduction expertise and a pair of high power-to-weight ratio MTU 2,720kW engines, she will be able to deliver her excellent top speed as well as a very economical performance and a range of 3,200 nm at 12 knots.

Minimalism
Italian designer Francesco Paszkowski and the owner are responsible for the stunning interiors. Their vision takes the concept of minimalism and applies it in a way that is elegant, chic and contemporary. The design is based on just two woods of contrasting colour and texture: richly patterned polished ebony for parquet floors and furniture surfaces, and whitened oak for the panelling.

Exceptional Layout
Project Ventura sleeps twelve guests in six cabins (with an additional cabin for the owners’ private staff.) There are in fact two master staterooms: the first with a spectacular circular bedroom leading directly outside to the upper deck, the other full-beam on the main deck – this large, bright master bedroom is complemented by a full-beam ensuite bathroom and a separate study. A full-beam VIP suite, two double cabins and one twin guest cabin are situated on the lower deck together with the twin staff cabin. Ebony floorboards and white oak panelling emphasise the exceptional amounts of space in all of the cabins with considerable storage and large wardrobes concealed within the design scheme.
