From Pipe To Fitting
Tubetransformation has launched a new platform for deformation and machining operations on pipes and tubes. Tubetransformation controls the entire process and monitoring all procedures from quotation to delivery. Standard available carbon, alloy and stainless steel, aluminum and copper tubes are transformed through advanced operations. Many different surface coatings and treatments can be applied to and performed on the tubes’ outside as well as their inside.
Most of the manufacturing takes place in countries around Europe like Tunisia, Turkey or Ukraine, but for the very specific operations also in the US, India and Korea. Tubetransformation offers a unique and wide scope of possibilities for different transformations of hollow sections into fittings.
Specific Applications
Other than the traditional bending, drilling, flaring, beveling and threading, also spinning, hydro-forming and laser cutting can be performed. Redrawn, finned and splined tubes are used for very specific applications clients come up with. Nowadays, hydraulic forming of different shapes is a matured transformation method demonstrating outstanding results, especially on the stainless steel seamless tubes. For heavy wall pipes the laser cutting possibilities are diversifying and so are the technical advancements for the upset forging of tube ends. Unconventional and close tolerance dimensions with a better surface structure are achieved by redrawing or pilgering.
