Ulstein Idea EPC for West Duddon Sands
Ulstein Idea Equipment Solutions BV will complete the engineering, procurement and construction of two innovative gripper frames for jack-up monopile operations at the West Duddon Sands wind farm installation project.
The pile gripper frames will be installed on board jack-up units and used to support monopiles when placed onto the seabed and hammered to their final, fully installed position. At the same time the gripper frames will allow the Netherlands-based Offshore Windforce (OWF) to adjust the inclination angle of the pile during the piling operation.
Ulstein Idea Equipment Solutions is proud to have been awarded this EPC contract, following a successful concept customisation phase. OWF selected Ulstein Idea Equipment Solutions in a competitive tender.
