Maritime World Gives Back
Thanks to a strong showing last week, Yellow & Finch Publishers’ 2nd annual golf tournament raised EUR 10,000 for KiKa, the Cancer-Free Children Foundation. Dutch football player Gérard de Nooijer accepted the donation on behalf of the charity – the crowd cheered as the cheque was double the amount of money raised last year.
Yellow & Finch Publishers, owners of Offshore Industry, hosted the golf tournament in Middelburg, the Netherlands. Maritime businesses gathered for a day of golf and an evening of music, food and fun. As well as the chance to develop business ties, the event raises donations for the charity organisation KiKa, which funds research for cancers that affect children. At the end of the night René van der Kloet made an extra donation of EUR 655 – by way of celebrating the 100 year anniversary of his company – and bringing the total amount raised to a round EUR 10,000.
