International oil and gas service contractor Sureclean has been named as the winner of the Best Employer Engagement award at the 2012 Energy North Awards.

The winner was announced at a prestigious ceremony on Friday 12th of October at the Drumossie Hotel in Inverness. Entrants were expected to demonstrate how they engage with and invest in their employees, creating an environment which fosters employee motivation and supports their business strategy.

Sureclean won the award for its commitment to people development and the strategy and processes the company has put in place to encourage employees to achieve their full potential, which includes substantial investment in training.

Sureclean was also recognised for its commitment to the development of the wider industry, in particular for the implementation of new training initiatives which are accredited by the Chartered Management Institute, and for the support and guidance given to trainee level staff.

Managing director John Barron said: “We are delighted to have been chosen as the winner of the Best Employer Engagement award, it is a great achievement for us and demonstrates the value we place on our people.

“We recognise that with motivated and engaged staff comes business success, and strive to provide our employees with the resources to develop and grow with the company.

“Our people are very much involved in the direction and evolution of the business and winning this award is a great achievement for us. We strongly believe that when our employees feel confident in their own skills and ability, they perform at the highest level and feel valued. This is an inherent part of our vision for Sureclean.”
