WindEnergy Hamburg has received a very impressive level of registrations for WindEnergy Hamburg 2014.

Registrations have now reached a total of more than 65% of the planned exhibition space for WindEnergy Hamburg 2014. The concept of WindEnergy Hamburg is set for growth.

A large number of wind turbine manufacturers have now registered, including Alstom, Areva, GE, Gamesa, Nordex, REpower and Siemens, and that generates great appeal for their component suppliers and customers.

All in all, an exciting range of products is coming together over the whole of the wind industry value chain. Especially in the wide-ranging area of core components, with suppliers from ABB to Zarges.

Wide range of core components
About 55% of the companies that have registered are suppliers of components for the wind industry:
• The European transmission manufacturers Winergy, Eickhoff Antriebstechnik, ZF and Bosch Rexroth, which hold major shares of the world market, are present at WindEnergy Hamburg 2014;

• The situation is similar for the manufacturers of large bearings, including SKF, Liebherr, NTN-SNR ROULEMENTS, ESM and others;

• Leading manufacturers of control equipment are there, with companies such as ABB, Bachmann, Parker Hannifin, Phoenix Contact and Schneider Electric;

• Suppliers of pitch systems and motor brakes are also well represented, with companies such as Moog, Hanning & Kahl, Ingeteam, SSB and others;

High percentage of international component suppliers already registered
About one third of the component suppliers who have registered come from abroad. Most of them from European countries, such as CG Power Systems from Belgium; Moventas, The Switch etc. from Finland; Wikov from the Czech Republic; and a range of companies from Spain, Italy, Denmark, Norway, Poland, the UK and Norway.

Leading companies from Korea have also registered, with Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering, SAMSUNG Heavy Industries and Hyundai Heavy Industries.

Onshore & offshore components on one platform
WindEnergy Hamburg is a global platform for the wind industry, giving the main players in the wind industry a central meeting point for onshore and offshore. There is a good balance, with offshore currently accounting for 46%. A large proportion of component manufacturers are active both in the onshore and offshore sector, such as Ambau, Voith, KEB, ESM, ITW, SGL Rotec, and Geislinger.

Many of the exhibitors at SMM, the world’s leading maritime industry fair, are using the synergies and presenting themselves two weeks later at WindEnergy Hamburg 2014. They include Nobiskrug, Nordic Yards, Lloyd Offshore, Fassmer, and many more
