New Hapag-Lloyd Feeder Service for the Baltic Region

Finland Express (FIX) will improve the Baltic region’s links to Hapag-Lloyd’s worldwide service network in Hamburg and Bremerhaven / Second weekly departure for key ports in Russia and Finland
Hapag-Lloyd is launching its new Finland Express Service (FIX) on 2 April, which will significantly improve links to the important Baltic region. The feeder service will connect Russia, Finland and Sweden with Hamburg and Bremerhaven, the two major North German hubs in Hapag-Lloyd’s worldwide service network. These two ports offer links to a total of 26 direct mainliner services operated by Hapag-Lloyd from/to Asia, the Middle East, the Indian subcontinent, North and South America, Africa, Southern Europe and Australia.
With the new FIX service, Hapag-Lloyd will offer its clients a second weekly departure from/to key Finnish and Russian ports, complementing its existing Russia Express Service (REX) which was launched last May. Hapag-Lloyd also offers fast, reliable connections to the Baltic region and ensures attractive port coverage with three other feeder services – the Poland Express Service (PEX), Gothenburg Express Service (GTE) and Baltic Feeder Service (UFE/BSF).
The Finland Express Service will call at Bremerhaven, Hamburg, St. Petersburg, Kotka, Rauma and Gaevle (Sweden) before returning to Bremerhaven. Hapag-Lloyd is currently looking into calling at the Russian port of Ust-Luga as well. Two vessels with a capacity of approximately 1,000 TEU each will operate the FIX service. The first ship in the service is scheduled to depart from Hamburg on 2 April.
