Trieadrieame the tri-hull from The Netherlands

AnwigemA is introducing a whole new concept in boat design with this exceptional tri-hull, based on a mono-hull with two hulls added symmetrically on either side. The innovative Trimonoran comprises three slim hulls, providing larger deck surface, spacious interior and wings – minimising resistance, making the boat faster, producing more stability compared to conventional mono hulls.

The Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs and the Foundation Coordination Maritime Research have already encouraged the idea several times by granting subsidies. Since 2011, the model was optimised by Van Oossanen Naval Architects, using advanced computer simulation programs. These computer calculations show an decrease of more than 30 percent fuel consumption for motor boats. Both resistance and speed are compared with an existing motor and sailing yacht. The tri-hull has less resistance so easily reach speed of twenty knots depending of engine power or sail area. The combination of lower fuel costs, larger living space, more safety due to stability proves the economy value and commercial attractiveness of the design.

The hull design can be put to use in a wide range of applications like small ferries, pilot and motor boats (as well as sailing) yachts from 12.5 to 25m, sloops or tenders from 7.5 to 12.5m. Faster commercial or military applications, merchant ships, passenger ferries and super yachts need more research. The Trimonoran is extremely suitable for hybrid designs saving significant energy.

Trieadrieame offers comfort, safety, space, stability, easy sailing with speed for sailing yachts.

The model really comes into its own when light construction materials are used:

  • Synthetic materials and (wood) composite materials
  • Aluminium
  • Steel is possible in a limited way

Model protection exists in Australia, Brazil, China, Europe, South Korea, Turkey and U.S.A. Patent was granted in The Netherlands included Patent Cooperation Treaty for over 140 countries.

AnwigemA would like to get in touch with boat builders, investors, shipyards, ship charters and yacht builders with a view to produce boats with a Trimonoran hull. The performance evaluation concept by Van Oossanen Naval Architects can be studied on the web site www.AnwigemA.nl.
