5 amazing gifts any superyacht owner will love

With the year-end season of giving on its way, SuperYacht Industry has been busy collecting the finest gifts for superyacht owners around the world. For those drawn to the crossroads of technology, luxury and the highest level of superyacht lifestyle, we’ve selected five must-haves for the coming yachting year.

1. Kormaran Tender

8_front_gesamt2A new class of boat has emerged on the horizon, the Kormaran. This luxury watercraft is truly spectacular and will certainly excite superyacht owners and guests when it emerges from the tender garage. Aside from the thrilling speed of a flying hydrofoil, what really sets the Kormaran apart is its ability to transform itself while underway – changing from an elegant, stable and comfortable dayboat to a flying speed demon.

The vessel is an ambitious and visionary creation as well as an extraordinary achievement in engineering, mechatronics and luxury design. Certainly the producers of the James Bond films will be looking on in envy when the first production model is delivered. Click here to read more.

2. Pocket Support Vessel

YXT ONE_y2G1K4699+Ameller copyListed at Fraser Yachts at EUR3,800,000, the 24-metre YXT (Yacht X Tender) ONE is a purpose-built pocket support vessel. Turn YXT ONE into a beach club, gym, sauna and spa, or use her as extra storage for toys and tenders or to sleep additional guests or crew. YXT ONE can cruise up to 16 knots on a range of 1,100NM and can accommodate four guests and four crew. A perfect accessory for those wishing to extend their yacht.

Builders LYNX Yachts in Amsterdam delivered the semi-displacement vessel in May this year. Diana Yacht Design took care of the design, naval architecture and engineering, while the interiors were from the hands of Weber Yacht Design. An interesting feature on board of the YXT One is the Land Rover Defender stored under the deck so the car is protected against the weather and the salty sea water and in this way the entire deck can be used optimally. See more images and details at Fraser Yachts. 3. Ultra-Compact Luxury Submersible

HP Sport Sub 2 - ISO2Next year will see the first production models of the new ultra-compact 2-person HP Sport Sub 2 by Dutch submersible manufacturer U-Boat Worx. With a price tag around EUR 1,000,000, this remarkable submersible design is “suitable for all superyachts from 30m and up” according to the founder and chairman Bert Houtman.

The luxury submersible has a 100m depth-rating and weighs  2,200kg. Add to that its ultra-low height of 136cm and superb performance, and in the HP Sport Sub 2 you can see why U-Boat Worx calls it easily the best choice among personal sports submersibles.

4. Vibrating Bass Dance Floor

#Dancefloor_people-CMYK_1In the SuperYacht Pavilion at METS, Yachtlite will be showing an extraordinary connection between light and sound: the V-Floor. Yachtlite’s long-term business associate Perfect Audio from Hannover has created a spectacular niche product with the development of a vibrating bass dance floor. Bass sound waves flow through dancers on the floor, whereas bystanders can neither feel nor hear them.

The surface is a further development of the already proven Yachtlite FloorLites named XR1: freely controllable and perfectly illuminating LED light elements, here inlaid in teak flooring. The lighting technology is tested according to GL-criteria, is extremely robust and of course perfectly eligible for dance floors or pool bases. XR1 has already been very successfully established in large-scale projects. Visit Yachtlite at METS, Booth number: 10.607.

5. Gyro-Stabilised Day-Night Monocular

NaamloosThe world’s first gyro-stabilised monocular by US manufacturer Fraser Optics uses military grade technology and an internal gyro to remove up to 98 percent of image motion – providing crystal clear, razor sharp images at great distances. With the 12X night vision eye piece, objects can be identified in low light conditions at long distances. It’s also 100 percent sealed, buoyant, submersible and waterproof, which means it is ideal for outdoor use and wet conditions.

Weighing less than 1 kg, the unit is simple to operate and can be transported with ease. The unit operates for up to 8 hours on one CR123 battery. The versatility of this unit makes it ideal for day or night time operations.
