The contract for the two IMT9120 vessels was signed between Singapore-based Upstream-Austin Offshore and the China Merchants Industry Holdings Company in Hong Kong, at the Marintec Conference & Exhibition in Shanghai on 2 December 2015. The diesel-electric propulsion vessels are intended to carry out riserless light well intervention (RLWI), light construction, subsea installation, inspection maintenance, and repair of subsea installations. The vessels can deploy three ROVs and are equipped with a 250-tonne-capacity AHC crane and a travelling gantry well intervention tower system. Accommodation is arranged for 140 persons. Both vessels have a deadweight of circa 9,500 tonnes. Dimensions are 120-metre LOA, 30-metre beam with an operational draft of 7.5 metres.
