Terex Port Solutions Xiames Received Important Service Order
Manila North Harbour Port, Inc. (MNHPI) has selected Terex Port Solutions (TPS) for an important retrofit service order for the Philippines. Skilled TPS technicians will install a new electrical and control system on two ship-to-shore cranes (STS) for MNHPI who will profit from modern control functions and greater future security for spare parts for its revamped ship-to-shore cranes. The retrofit is due to be completed for mid-2016.
Order extends from design to commissioning of the solution
The new electrical and control system to be installed is based on Siemens Simatic S7 components, including Sinamics DCM power converters. In addition to the design of the system, the order covers the supply and installation of the components, programming of the control software, tests and commissioning.
Good experience breeds confidence in TPS service package
In 2013 and 2014, TPS delivered a total of ten Terex rubber-tyred gantry cranes (RTG) to the largest port in the Philippines. MNHPI has not only come to know TPS as a supplier of reliable and powerful cranes and control systems, but also values the commitment and competence of the TPS service team. MNHPI knows that it can always rely on TPS both for the commissioning of its cranes and with regard to maintenance and spare parts supply. This confidence has been instrumental in the choice of TPS for the retrofit of its ship-to-shore cranes with state-of-the-art control technology.

The RTGs delivered to MNHPI in recent years were also manufactured at the TPS location in Xiamen.
